Friends of the School
The Friends of East Haddon School is a voluntary fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school. It helps provide all those little extras that enhance the children’s lives in school. New parents automatically become members of the Friends when their child joins the school, and are encouraged to come along to the Friends’ meetings to share their ideas.
The Friends committee work hard behind the scenes to plan and organise events such as discos, quiz nights, summer and Christmas fayres and coffee mornings, to name a few. They have provided funding for school trips and workshops within school and have recently achieved the massive goal of expanding the playground, which has given our children more space and freedom to run around and play safely.
Their success depends entirely on the support of all parents, staff and community, and any assistance is greatly appreciated. This can be anything from a little time spent helping out in the background, to coming along to functions with friends and family or by joining the committee itself.
The Friends are all about making things fun and all have the same goal: to make sure our children have valuable experiences within school.
