Pacesetters are a sports and wellbeing company, delivering a variety of fitness programmes across Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. They deliver our Monday ‘Fun and Fitness’ session, full of fast-paced games to keep the children active and entertained. They also deliver our Friday gymnastics club, which involves exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination, grace, balance and control.
NMPAT: In April 2012 the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust was established as an Independent Charitable Company after 40 years trading as the former Local Authority Music Service. NMPAT offer a range of enrichment programmes for schools and individuals of all ages around the county. They offer whole class instrumental lessons (‘First Access’) each year, as well as delivering subsidised tuition within schools. We are pleased to have Mrs Cliffe teaching strings, Mr Baker teaching brass and Mrs Mourant teaching woodwind.
Guitar Club: Our resident guitarist, Mrs Pickles, runs a guitar club for Year 5 and 6 children on a Tuesday morning during assembly. Members bring their own guitar in from home and Mrs Pickles provides the music.
Recorder Club: Mrs Pickles also offers Year 5 and 6 children recorder club on a Wednesday lunchtime. The children bring their recorders from home and are asked to bring in ‘The Red Hot Recorder tutor 1’ Descant student book, although there are some copies in school for children to borrow if they can’t get hold of one.
Karaoke Choir: Mrs Gibbins offers a fun Monday lunchtime Karaoke Choir, for Years two to six, ably assisted by her Year 6 volunteers.
